Modalities
You may be a creative, free-spirited person who gets overwhelmed, flustered, or pulled in many directions. You might live mostly in your mind, feel frazzled, anxious, or alternatively, flat, tired, or disconnected. Sometimes all these feelings at the same time.
Somatic therapy helps you slow down, listen inward, and build a steadier relationship with your mind and body. Together, we work to calm anxiety and nervous system overwhelm, gently access emotions, and restore a sense of vitality and presence.
I pull from my trauma-informed somatic training, and integrate Breema Bodywork, Relational Somatic Healing (RSH), Sandtray, Mindfulness, Body Scans, Dream Explorations, Breathwork, Guided Imagery, EMDR, and Parts Work inspired by the Internal Family Systems into my work as your therapist.
Somatic Psychotherapy
A body-based approach to therapy that supports nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and integration of lived experience.
Art Therapy
Creative expression such as drawing, imagery, or symbolic work, used to access emotions and inner states that may be difficult to reach with words alone.
Sand Tray
With sandtray we will explore your inner world, what is just below the surface of your consciousness, and bring to light what’s been here all along. Sometimes we need to get out of our analytical thinking mind and into our imagination to explore symbolism and see and feel how our patterns and mechanical ways of thinking and being impact us on a daily basis. Sandtray is a fun creative way to get distance between ourselves and the heavy gunk we’ve been lugging around in our psyche.
Mindfulness and Guided Imagery
Experiential practices that help deepen awareness, increase self-regulation, and support insight through imagination and sensation.
Relational Somatic Healing Therapeutic Touch
Touch is our very first language and is crucial to our development and survival as mammals. It’s possible you didn’t receive enough touch growing up, or maybe you received the wrong kind of touch for you. This gentle and non-invasive approach will help you access, in the present moment, the parts of yourself that have been wounded in the past. It will give you the opportunity to feel pain and digest it, to break free from the mental and physical stories holding you back.
