Therapy for Pre-Teens and Teens
I work with pre-teens (ages 11+) and teenagers navigating a range of emotional and relational challenges, including:
Anxiety, overwhelm, or perfectionism
Grief and loss
Family transitions such as divorce or separation
Difficulty with friendships, peer pressure, or social connection
Self-doubt, identity exploration, and low self-esteem
The impact of trauma or witnessing frightening events
I meet each pre-teen, teen, and family with warmth and sensitivity, honoring cultural and socio-economic contexts. My approach is collaborative and developmentally appropriate, offering a safe space for young people to process experiences at their own pace.
In my work with pre-teens and teens, I integrate talk therapy with creative and somatic modalities to support emotional regulation, identity development, and healthy communication. Sessions may include art-making, journaling, and body-based tools to help young people feel empowered, seen, and supported.
Whether your teen is facing a specific challenge or simply needs a supportive space to grow, therapy can help them feel more confident, connected, and resilient.
